Account data
When users register or sign in to goKukës, we collect basic profile information so we can create and manage the account:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
Passwords are handled securely by the authentication system and are not stored in plain text. goKukës staff do not have access to your password.
Saved items
Signed-in users can save items inside the app to revisit them later. These lists are tied to your account and include:
- Saved businesses
- Saved places
- Saved events
Contact form
When you submit a message through the website contact form we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Subject
- Message
Contact form submissions are stored in the goKukës database and are also sent by email to the team through SMTP. The data is used solely to reply to your enquiry.
Technical and security logs
For security and diagnostics, the server may keep technical logs that include IP address, device and browser type, and the time of the request. These logs are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties.
Location and maps
Your location is only used when you actively choose the "locate me" option on the map, in order to show your current position on the map. goKukës does not track your location in the background.
Cookies and preferences
The website uses a single cookie to remember the language you selected (Albanian or English). No cookies are used for advertising or tracking.
Third-party services
To deliver the service, goKukës relies on a small set of technical providers:
- OpenStreetMap and Leaflet — for the interactive map
- SMTP / email provider — for sending contact form notifications
- Hosting / server provider — for hosting the website and APIs
Advertising and analytics
goKukës does not show advertisements and does not use third-party tools for analytics or user tracking.
Your rights
Users can contact goKukës to request:
- Access to their personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of their personal data
